Getting Back To Running After A Break
I went for my first run today since running my last marathon back in September.
Running has always been a release for me. A good run takes me out of my regular headspace and gives me time with just me. I get time to think and just be while also working towards being a better me in every sense.
It’s a very meditative experience. But it’s also painful as I’m constantly trying to push myself to get a better time or run more miles.
At a certain point, running becomes its own burden and I need a break from it. Time to rest my legs and focus on other things.
But I always end up coming back to it.
Because at the end of the day, I know running helps me be the best version of myself and allows me to constantly challenge myself in positive ways.
So here’s to training for the next marathon and hitting the pavement on a more regular basis.
